This 1988 Nordsee 52 is an aluminum sailing yacht built for extended cruising. At just over 53 feet with a 14-foot beam, the boat combines solid construction with comprehensive systems for ocean voyaging. Power comes from a 95-horsepower Sole Diesel engine.
The layout provides three cabins and two heads. The master cabin occupies the aft section with a double berth, while the forward cabin features a port bunk, sofa, and storage. A third cabin on the port side includes another bunk arrangement. The main saloon centers on a galley kitchen with a C-shaped layout, complete with induction cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and double sink. The chart table and helm station are positioned opposite the dining area. Both heads have electric marine toilets with separate shower enclosures.
Navigation and deck systems are comprehensive. Electronics include dual GPS plotters with Raymarine E90w and dual multifunction displays, Simrad autopilot and wind instruments, forward-looking sonar, AIS, VHF radio, and Raymarine radar. The boat carries eight battery banks totaling 115Ah each, supported by a 6.5-kW Onan generator, 3000-watt Victron inverter, solar panels, and a 40-liter water heater. An electric windlass with wireless remote operates the ground tackle, and four Lewmar winches handle sail management. A hydraulic bow thruster assists maneuvering.
The rig includes a mainsail and jib, both refitted in 2024 with UV protection. The standing rigging was renewed in 2016. Additional equipment comprises a tender with 20-horsepower Yamaha outboard, hydraulic spinnaker pole, hard top, teak stern platform, and shore power connection. The boat is equipped for self-sufficient long-range sailing with a watermaker producing 190 liters per hour, air conditioning, and a washing machine.
