1988 Tartan 31

The Tartan 31 is a classic fiberglass sailing yacht built in 1988, measuring 31 feet in length with a beam of nearly 11 feet. She carries a single 18-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine and is equipped with roller furling, a 2023 130% genoa, an older 150% genoa, and a mainsail with stack pack and lazy jacks installed in 2021. This setup allows for manageable sail handling without requiring crew work forward on deck.

Below deck, the accommodation includes a V-berth forward, a quarter berth, midship berths, and a pilot berth. The main cabin features a folding table and navigation station. The galley is fitted with a refrigerator, CNG oven and stove, and pressure water system with sink. A head with shower completes the interior facilities. The cockpit includes a folding cocktail table and cup holder.

The engine bay provides straightforward access for maintenance. Recent work includes a new cutlass bearing and diesel deck fill, raw water filter, fixed-blade propeller, Racor fuel filter with new fuel line from tank to engine, and a cleaned fuel tank. The stuffing box, drive shaft, motor mounts, and bilge pump have also been replaced or rebuilt. A spare two-blade folding propeller is included. Bottom paint is current through 2026, and V-berth cushions were reupholstered in 2024.
