1989 Catalina 42

This 1989 Catalina 42 Mark I is a fiberglass cruising sailboat powered by a Yammer 4JH4BE diesel engine rated at 44 horsepower, with low operating hours. The boat has been maintained for freshwater use only. Recent upgrades include a Raymarine EV 200 Sail Evolution Autopilot, Standard Horizon Eclipse GPS GX1400GPS Marine Transceiver, and a Vetus 55-amp 12-volt bow thruster. Eight galvanized boat stands are included.

The three-stateroom layout offers two double berths aft, a pullman master berth to port with private ensuite and stall shower forward, and a main salon with adjoining galley. The galley is equipped with a refrigerator with freezer, microwave, water heater, three-burner propane stove with oven, and pressurized fresh water system. The main salon features a dining table, cushions, speaker, and AM/FM tuner. An HVAC system is aboard but not currently functioning, possibly due to a faulty control panel.

The navigation station includes the autopilot, VHF radio, compass, speed and distance log, and a chart table with integrated chart light. A digital depth sounder and instrument panel round out the electronics. The electrical system comprises 110-volt AC and 12-volt DC circuits with battery charger, alternator, and battery parallel switches.

Deck and rigging equipment includes a keel-stepped aluminum mast with stainless steel standing and wire rigging, main and jib sails, number one genoa, manual boom vang, and main sheet traveler. The deck layout features bow pulpit with rails, life lines, stanchions, swim platform with fold-down ladder, anchor with lines and fenders, and safety gear including life jackets and life ring. Engine controls, holding tank, fresh water cooling system, manual and electric bilge pumps, and dual fire extinguishers are fitted below.
