1989 Marine Trader Transworld 39 Aft Cabin Trawler

The 1989 Marine Trader Transworld 39 is a fiberglass trawler with a 39-foot beam measuring 14 feet. Twin Cummins diesel engines producing 420 horsepower provide propulsion and maneuverability with dual bow and stern thrusters equipped with wireless remote controls.

Between 2022 and 2026, the boat received extensive updates across all systems. The helm stations feature a complete Garmin electronics suite at both upper and lower positions. Topside, an upper-helm and sundeck enclosure with Sunbrella canvas, windshield, and Phifertex sun shade creates sheltered outdoor space, complemented by a new swim platform and davit-launched dinghy system. A windlass and new Bomar hatches support deck operations. The interior includes updated heads with Corian countertops, a new dual-motor refrigerator and freezer, memory foam mattresses, and custom cellular shades throughout.

Mechanical work completed during the upgrade period includes engine heat exchanger rebuilds, along with routine servicing: oil and transmission fluid changes, filter replacements, and antifreeze fluid renewal. New Victron power systems support the boat's electrical infrastructure.

The trawler combines the proven Marine Trader hull with modern systems and equipment, offering comfortable accommodation for extended cruising in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
