This 1989 Nordic 52 is a fiberglass pilothouse yacht built for serious cruising and fishing. Powered by two commercial-duty Lugger diesel engines producing 880 horsepower, the boat cruises at 9 knots with a top speed of 17 knots and carries 800 gallons of fuel for extended range. The yacht features three control stations—pilothouse, flybridge, and back deck—giving full command from multiple locations.
The boat underwent major structural refits in 1992 and 2010. The 1992 refit raised the foredeck by 18 inches and expanded the master stateroom; the 2010 refit extended the hull by 3 feet, adding substantial internal storage and an enlarged swim step. The master stateroom is generously sized, and the accommodation plan includes three cabins and two heads. A large aft cockpit is fitted with a fish box, live well, and dedicated back-deck control station with fish finder repeater.
Recent mechanical work includes a top-end engine overhaul at 10,000 hours with 7,800 hours logged since. Dual generators provide redundant power: a 6 kW Northern Lights unit installed in 2020 and an 8 kW unit. Galley systems include a 9 cubic-foot refrigerator with new compressor and condenser, a 6 cubic-foot drawer freezer, and a 12 cubic-foot bridge freezer with a compressor replaced in 2018. A high-capacity watermaker with new membranes was installed in 2024.
Navigation and communication equipment includes Furuno sounder, plotter, and radar all upgraded or installed in 2020–2021, an autopilot pump and CT-12 box added in 2024, two ICOM VHF radios, and navigation software with a dedicated computer. The teak cap rail is canvas-covered and well maintained.
