TAYYA is a 1990 Nauta 54 sailing yacht, a 54-foot fiberglass cruiser built for offshore performance and extended voyaging. She combines the design principles of Scott Kaufman with the build quality Nauta Yachts is known for. Her signature feature is a rare double cockpit layout that provides excellent protection when sailing and easy deck movement. The teak deck was refitted in 2013, and the three-spreader aluminum mast was repainted in 2021. Her generous sail plan—167 square meters upwind and 330 square meters downwind—delivers cruising speeds of 7 knots with peaks to 8 knots.
The interior accommodates 8 guests across 4 cabins: a large aft owner's cabin and three guest cabins with a mix of single and double berths. The saloon features a leather-upholstered settee and dining space for 6 to 8 people. The galley is well-equipped with an oven, refrigerator, and deep freezer; the galley fridge received a new motor and copper pipes. Navigation equipment at the chart table includes a B&G chartplotter, Raymarine instruments, and VHF/AIS.
The yacht underwent significant upgrades between 2021 and 2022. A new mainsail was installed, along with a new windlass engine, new bow thruster motor, new upholstery throughout, and a Webasto heater. Navigation electronics were modernized. She is powered by a Volvo 90 HP turbo diesel engine paired with a three-blade MAX PROP propeller, offering a range of 500 to 600 nautical miles.
