1991 Viking Convertible

The 1991 Viking 50 Convertible is a substantial sportfish built on a modified-V hull with a wide beam and well-flared bow, reinforced with balsa coring in the hull sides. Twin Detroit Diesel engines produce 1,470 horsepower, delivering a cruising speed of 26 knots and a top speed of 30 knots. The hull weighs approximately 60,000 pounds, contributing to a solid, comfortable ride.

The interior features three staterooms with a midship master suite, two heads, and a washer/dryer. The salon opens to the galley and dinette, maximizing the sense of space. The boat includes a spacious standup engine room with direct cockpit access, a large in-deck fish box, and an excellent bridge layout with seating for eight. Trim tabs are fitted for improved handling.

Recent updates include new salon sole, galley appliances, and cabinetry refinishing. The master stateroom has new bedding and pillow accents. New Garmin electronics have been installed. The entire boat received a fresh topside paint and new bottom paint applied in September 2024, along with fresh Prop Speed antifouling on the running gear. New cutlass bearings were installed during the bottom work. In 2025, the forward air conditioning compressor and battery charger were replaced, and engine oil and filters were serviced in November 2025.
