This 1992 Island Packet 29 is a fiberglass cruising sailboat built to explore coastal waters with comfort and strength. The design brings together a solid full keel with integral bow sprit, a spade rudder protected by a boxed support, and a cutter rig on a single spreader—all purpose-built for safe sailing on weekends or extended passages. The boat is powered by a Beta Marine 25 hp diesel engine with just fourteen hours of operation.
The interior layout maximizes space for a 29-footer. Forward is a private v-berth with opening hatch and ports, dressing area, hanging locker, and substantial storage underneath. The head sits to port with a shower, sink, and commode. The main saloon features a bulkhead-mounted table with a convertible settee berth, a long starboard settee, and access to a quarter-berth aft. The galley spans across the starboard side with a two-burner propane stove, deep sink, and ample storage and workspace.
Systems and equipment reflect consistent maintenance and recent upgrades. The diesel tank was replaced in 2018. Gel cell batteries and a charger support 12V and 120V systems, with reverse-cycle air conditioning and an electric hot water heater installed in 2011. Navigation includes a Simrad NSS 8 touch-screen chart plotter, Simrad depth and wind instruments, Standard Horizon VHF with AIS and DSC, and an Autohelm autopilot. Sails include North mainsail with two reefs, genoa and staysail on Harken furlers, all from 2011, with a complete set of original sails kept as spares. Deck hardware includes Lewmar primaries and winches, lazy jacks, and boom vang. Lifelines were renewed in 2011, and chainplates were rebedded in 2017. A dodger and bimini with connecting panel were added in 2017.
