The 2004 Catalina 310 is a 31-foot fiberglass sloop built on a proven design that earned Cruising World's "Boat of the Year" when the class debuted in 1999. She combines traditional cruising capability with a practical, modern interior layout. The boat features a winged shoal keel and spade rudder, a deck-stepped masthead rig, and is powered by a 26-horsepower Universal diesel engine.
Below deck, the layout works well for cruising couples and small families. The forward cabin has a walk-around double berth with full standing room. The main salon features an L-shaped dinette to port and a settee to starboard. The galley sits aft on the starboard side with stove, oven, refrigeration, and a pressurized hot and cold water system. A private enclosed head with marine toilet and shower sits to port. An additional berth occupies the aft cabin, accessible between the companionway and galley.
Sail inventory includes a North mainsail with blue cover and Dutchman flaking system, plus a North furling genoa. Primary and secondary winches, wheel steering with fold-in sides, and a boom vang support sail handling. Deck equipment comprises an electric windlass with anchor, chain, and locker, plus rails with double lifelines and catbird seats.
Onboard systems include reverse-cycle air conditioning with heating, a Kenwood sound system with interior and exterior speakers, Standard Horizon VHF radio, navigation and cabin lighting, dual 12-volt batteries, 30-amp shore power with two 50-foot cords, and manual and electric bilge pumps. The boat has been consistently well maintained and is in excellent condition.
