The Blackfin 31 Combi is a 31-foot sportfishing boat built on a fiberglass hull and powered by twin 1997 Yanmar 6LYA-STE diesel engines producing 350 hp each. The boat carries 300 gallons of fuel, 60 gallons of fresh water, and a 20-gallon holding tank. Twin ZF gears with 1.96:1 ratios drive reconditioned and balanced 22-by-25 four-blade Nibral props. Electronics include dual Garmin GPSMAP 943 plotters at the helm, a Garmin GPSMAP 741 in the electronics box, Airmar B175HW transducer, GMR Fantom 18X radar, and two ICOM IC-M330 VHF radios. A Horizon 1000 windlass manages 25 feet of chain and 300 feet of rode.
Accommodation and operations are straightforward. The upper helm station contains steering and controls only. The boat has four new Group 31 batteries with a ProNautic 1230P charger installed. A 16K BTU air conditioner is present though currently not functioning at full capacity. The boat carries a handheld Golight floodlight. There is no generator or autopilot aboard.
Recent service and maintenance completed in early 2025 includes full PM service on both engines, replacement of all engine zincs and running gear zincs, new hoses and clamps on all below-waterline exhaust and seacock systems, and replacement of all strainer and crash valve hoses. The hull was media blasted to gel coat and finished with two coats of Sea Hawk Tuff Stuff barrier coat followed by two coats of Petit Trinidad HD hard bottom paint. The engines had logged 1,638 hours at the time of these updates. A cockpit cover extending from the hardtop to the transom will be installed and conveys with the boat.
