The 2001 Pursuit 3000 Express is a 31-foot sportfish built on a proven fiberglass hull design well-suited to offshore work. Twin Cummins turbocharged diesel engines rated at 250 horsepower each deliver strong performance with good fuel economy. The boat draws on practical, capable proportions typical of the 3000 model, with a beam of 10.5 feet and solid construction intended for extended cruising.
Recent mechanical work has been substantial. The port engine underwent a full rebuild completed by R&R Marine and Vector Yacht Services following a raw water pump failure. The starboard engine received full service and new injectors during the same period. In 2025, both engines received comprehensive drivetrain updates: new transmissions, couplers, seals, shafts, and professionally rebuilt propellers. Racor fuel filters were relocated to the aft engine room bulkhead for better access and maintenance. Both engines run approximately 950 hours.
Onboard systems have been modernized as well. New Simrad navigation electronics were installed in 2023, and a high-end VHF radio was added in 2025. The interior is clean and well-maintained with tidy upholstery and an enclosed helm suitable for year-round use. Freshwater, hot water, head, and washdown systems are all functional, as are all lighting systems. The exterior received a recent full polish and wax; bottom paint was assessed and remains in serviceable condition.
One head is aboard. The boat carries a single fuel type—diesel—and presents in sound, well-kept condition throughout.
