This 1993 Corsair F-27 is a 27-foot fiberglass trimaran with an 19-foot beam, built for both performance sailing and comfortable cruising. The boat has been maintained exclusively in freshwater in northern Minnesota, kept to consistent standards throughout its life. Standing rigging was recently updated with high-end Colligo synthetic running float stays on a double-spreader mast, and the trailering mast stand has been custom-modified to safely accommodate the rig configuration.
The sail inventory is extensive and well-suited to varied sailing. A 2019 Precision package includes a square-top mainsail, jib, and screecher (used infrequently for racing), while an older Smyth mainsail and roller furling jib remain available for casual cruising. A spinnaker with launch bag and custom protective sun socks for the jib and screecher round out the inventory. A Torqeedo 4.0 electric outboard provides quiet propulsion, powered by four 12V AGM batteries wired in series for a 48V system dedicated to propulsion.
Deck and comfort features include custom canvas throughout: a bimini, boom cover and tent, pop-top enclosure to expand cabin headroom at anchor, and hatch covers. The nets are in excellent condition and recoated annually. The hull bottom receives annual VC-17 finishing. Below, the interior has been fully re-upholstered and includes a composting head (the original marine head, holding tank, and plumbing are included if conversion is desired). A custom companionway hatch door has an integrated screen. Raymarine depth, speed, and wireless wind instruments handle navigation.
The boat comes with a Pacific trailer, mast-raising equipment, a custom winter cover, and an assortment of accumulated spare parts. A Tiller Tamer eases steering lockdown.
