This 48-foot custom power catamaran was designed for offshore operation and high-capacity commercial use. Built entirely from Nida-Core composite panels with fiberglass laminate, the hull contains no wood and is engineered for durability and strength-to-weight efficiency. The design derives from a modified V-hull configuration based on Cigarette Racing hull lines, providing responsive handling, stable seakeeping, and efficient fuel consumption. The wide 25-foot beam enhances stability both at rest and underway, while the boat is licensed to carry up to 70 passengers.
The catamaran is powered by twin Caterpillar diesel engines that were newly installed and professionally fitted. The propulsion package is clean, accessible, and configured for straightforward maintenance and serviceability. Performance targets cruising at 15 knots with a maximum speed of 18 knots, making the boat well suited for island routes and extended offshore passages alike.
Deck layout is open and practical, designed for efficient passenger movement with wide walkways and uncluttered spaces. Upper deck areas provide flexible seating and shaded options, while forward viewing areas work for wildlife observation or photography. The main deck is open-plan and adaptable for passenger transport, event hosting, or other configurations. One head serves the onboard requirements.
The hull has been maintained to a high standard with regular mechanical servicing and electrical inspections. Composite construction eliminates concerns about rot or moisture degradation, supporting longevity under continuous service.
