1994 Hunter Legend 40

The 1994 Hunter Legend 40 is a fiberglass cruiser designed for coastal and island sailing. Known for responsive handling and speed, this boat combines performance with comfort in a 40-foot package with a 13-foot beam. A Yammer diesel engine producing 50 horsepower provides reliable power, with a cruising speed of 5 knots. A new fully battened mainsail in stackpack with lazy jacks has been installed, and all control lines run to the cockpit for convenient handling. The main is raised and lowered from the helm, as is the anchor.

Below deck, the boat offers true two-stateroom, two-head accommodation with 6 feet 5 inches of headroom throughout. The aft cabin features a queen berth suitable for extended living. The galley is fully equipped with a three-burner range and oven, refrigerator, ice box, stainless double sink, water filter, microwave, and six-gallon water heater. A large wraparound dinette and settee provide additional seating and sleeping options. The interior includes teak and holly sole, LED lighting, and forward and aft air conditioning.

The boat is fitted with substantial electronics and systems: a Mastervolt 12-2500-100 inverter/charger with remote control, 200 watts of solar panels, a Raymarine ST6000+ autopilot, Garmin 740S GPS and radar, multiple VHF radios, a wind speed and direction instrument, knot meter, fathometer, and autopilot capability. Navigation and comfort systems extend to radar, compass, and entertainment including television and stereo.

Designed with ease of use in mind, the boat features a large cockpit with cushioned seating, folding table, and a rail-mount barbecue. A stainless steel swim ladder, bow and aft rail corner seats, and blue LED courtesy lighting enhance usability. An inflatable tender with outboard motor is included.
