This 1994 Island Packet 35 is a fiberglass sailing yacht built with the quality and seaworthiness the brand is known for. At 35 feet long with a 12-foot beam, it offers a solid platform for cruising. Power comes from a single 34-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine.
The boat features two cabins and one head. Interior cushions have been re-upholstered, and interior lighting has been upgraded to LED. A composting toilet was installed in place of the previous holding tank system. Navigation equipment includes a new Garmin 215 VHF radio with AIS receiver, integrated via NMEA 2000 to the chart plotter.
Recent work spans both systems and structure. The rigging was replaced, and blocks and running rigging have been renewed where needed. A bi-facial solar panel was added, and a carbon monoxide detector installed. The propane tank was re-certified, the fuel tank was cleaned and polished, and the engine's raw water intake ball valve was replaced. The shaft packing gland was also replaced. A new stainless steel exhaust mixing elbow is fitted. The bottom was serviced and the holding tank discharge thru-hull was fiberglassed closed. Davits by Kato Marine were installed. The sails are in very good condition.
