1995 Hinckley Picnic Boat 36 Classic

This 1995 Hinckley Picnic Boat 36 Classic is a composite-hulled cruiser powered by a Yanmar 350-hp diesel engine with Hamilton waterjet propulsion. Built using the SCRIMP process with balsa-cored Kevlar and E-glass construction, the hull combines durability with the classic styling Hinckley is known for. The boat is finished in Flag Green topsides with Camel Brown gelcoat decks and a white boot top. Its design emphasizes both performance and entertaining space, with the pilothouse and cockpit offering ample seating and visibility for guests.

The interior accommodates two in a forward V-berth and follows a Herreshoff-style design with white Formica and varnished mahogany trim throughout. The galley features a Force 10 two-burner stove, stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressure water, and generous locker storage. To starboard, a dedicated head includes a shower, porcelain sink, and Vacu-flush marine toilet. The main cabin, head, and pilothouse are all served by reverse-cycle air conditioning and heating, with teak and holly cabin sole underfoot and numerous storage compartments forward and in the V-berth area.

The boat is equipped with a Hinckley Jetstick control system integrated with a Vetus bow thruster for responsive maneuvering. Navigation includes a Garmin 742xs multifunction display, GMR 18HD+ radar, Raymarine autopilot, and VHF radio. The helm features a varnished teak instrument pod and adjustable leather helm seat. Electrically, the boat carries three 4-D gel-cell batteries totaling 360 amps, an 80-amp alternator, and full 110-volt and 12-volt distribution. Deck features include a teak bowsprit with Lewmar electric windlass, folding swim platform with ladder, and varnished teak railings and trim throughout.
