1996 Bruce Roberts Cutter

Chance is a 1996 Bruce Roberts steel cutter, 37 feet in length with a 12.4-foot beam. Built for serious cruising, she combines a sturdy steel hull with a 65-horsepower Nissan diesel engine. Her design prioritizes seaworthiness and self-sufficiency for extended passages.

The boat has been thoughtfully maintained and upgraded over the years. In 2019, her hull was epoxied and fitted with teak decking. Standing rigging was replaced in 2016, and her sail plan includes dual Furlex roller furlers—a 200S installed in 2014 and a 300S added in 2019. Recent canvas work includes a spray hood, cockpit tent, winch covers, and helm cover. Technology has been updated with Raymarine charting and helm instruments. The sails themselves show minimal use and are stored below in good condition. Running rigging has been maintained and upgraded as needed.

The interior offers seven berths across a well-designed layout: two doubles and three singles. Headroom throughout reaches seven feet, providing unusual spaciousness for the yacht's size.
