The Catalina 400 is a 40-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat with a 13.5-foot beam and excellent headroom throughout. Powered by a 45-horsepower Westerbeke diesel engine paired with a three-blade Autoprop variable-pitch propeller, the boat features a wing keel with 5-foot-4-inch draft. Twin Edson pedestal steering wheels provide control, and the sails include a full-batten mainsail with Dutchman system, furling 135% and 155% genoas, and a cruising spinnaker.
Below deck, three cabins accommodate up to seven people. The master stateroom has an oversized queen pedestal berth, and the boat includes two heads. The galley is complete and equipped with a newer Sea Frost refrigeration system. Headroom reaches 6 feet 9 inches in main areas. Electronics are newer B&G units.
The boat has been maintained in strong condition by its second owner and is currently in the water. No known problems are reported.
