This 1996 Fountaine Pajot Venezia 42 is a fiberglass catamaran built for serious cruising in the Western Caribbean. At 41 feet in length with a 23-foot beam, she displaces nearly 15,000 pounds—substantial for a multihull, which allows her to carry load without performance loss. The narrow hull entries and nearly plumb bows, combined with a bridgedeck spanning just over 27 feet, create a rigid platform suited to extended voyaging.
Recent refits have modernized the boat considerably. Both Yanmar diesel engines have been rebuilt, with one installed and the second completed and tested. New sails were added in 2018, along with fresh rigging. Much of the synthetic teak decking was removed and replaced with new gelcoat and custom nonskid patterns. A hard bimini top, cockpit lighting, and underwater lighting enhance the exterior. The interior upholstery and cushions were renewed in 2024.
Accommodations include four cabins with air conditioning throughout. The boat carries a diesel generator and has been actively cruised in the Western Caribbean over the past two years. The interior is clean and well-maintained. She has had three owners and was never chartered.
