This 1996 Northern Bay Downeast Cruiser is a 36-foot fiberglass hardtop with a single Cummins 6CTA 8.3 diesel engine producing 450 horsepower. The boat cruises comfortably at 16 knots with fuel consumption of 12–14 gallons per hour, reaching a maximum speed of 18 knots. It features dual helm stations—the upper station requires connection—and aluminum tower outriggers.
The engine was recently rebuilt and installed with only 130 hours of running time. The repowering included a new transmission, new hydraulic steering system, new prop and shaft, cutless bearing, stuffing box, and a 200-gallon fuel tank. A bow thruster provides additional maneuvering capability.
Accommodations include sleeping for four, with a head and shower, galley, and two air conditioning units. The boat carries a 20-gallon hot water heater and 14-gallon holding tank. A vacuum flush head and custom bow rail are also aboard.
Electronics installed in 2022 include two Garmin GPSMap 1243XSV combo fishfinder units, Garmin Phantom 24x dome radar, Garmin autopilot, Garmin B75M bronze through-hull transducer, two ICOM VHF radios, and an EPIRB. The boat is equipped with a windlass and anchor.
