1996 Sea Ray 400 Sedan Bridge

The 1996 Sea Ray 400 Sedan Bridge is a 40-foot fiberglass cruising yacht with a solid reputation for spacious accommodations and capable performance. Powered by twin MerCruiser 454 inboard engines totaling 740 horsepower, the boat cruises at 17 knots and reaches a maximum speed of 26 knots. Her 14.25-foot beam provides stability, and the full flybridge with hardtop creates an excellent command center with protection from the elements and room for entertaining.

The interior comprises two staterooms and two heads. The forward master has a queen island berth with storage and private access to a full shower head. The guest stateroom offers convertible twin berths. The main salon features panoramic windows, high-gloss wood cabinetry, a convertible dinette, and a fully equipped galley with electric stove, convection microwave, and refrigeration. Climate control is provided by two Cruisair units for air conditioning and heating.

Navigation and control systems include a Raymarine Autohelm autopilot at the lower helm, Garmin 12-inch chart plotter with GPS and sonar, Icom VHF radio, and depth finder. The boat is equipped with bow and stern thrusters controlled by joystick. Recent upgrades include a new windlass installed in 2024 with controls at both the bow and flybridge, new anchor with 250 feet of chain, and replacement of many flybridge glass inserts in 2024 and 2025. The full flybridge enclosure with screens provides flexible use of outdoor space.

Additional equipment includes twin generators (one Westerbeke 8.5 kilowatt), radar, automatic fire suppression, LED lighting throughout, cockpit refrigeration, tender lift, dive ladder, and underwater lighting. Both heads feature Sealand Vacuflush marine sanitation devices. Twin flat-panel televisions and a Clarion sound system with Sirius capability are installed. Engine hour meters show 1,395 hours on the port engine and 1,920 hours on the starboard unit.
