This 1997 Lagoon 410 catamaran is a 41-foot fiberglass cruiser built for serious passage-making. Twin 29 hp Yammer diesel engines with sail drives—both installed new in 2018 with around 1,340 hours each—deliver a cruising speed of 7.5 knots under power and a range of 300 to 350 nautical miles on both engines, or over 700 on a single engine. The hull's 23.5-foot beam creates substantial stability and interior volume. Fully battened Dacron main and furling jib sails replaced in 2015 are backed by a spinnaker, all managed via twin 44-foot Lewmar winches and a 48-foot Lewmar winch powered by electric assists.
The four-cabin, three-head layout accommodates extended cruising or charter use. A fourth head was converted to a standalone shower with its own four-gallon solar-heated hot water tank. Oversized refrigeration includes a top-loading freezer and front-loading refrigerator with recently replaced compressors, plus a marine cooler. The galley features a new Force 10 three-burner stove with oven. A fore-peak storage area on port has a large hatch suitable for bicycles; the starboard fore-peak can be configured as an additional single berth and head.
Power and self-sufficiency systems are extensive. A 765-watt solar array feeds six AGM batteries installed in 2019 with 900 amp-hour capacity. A 2-kilowatt gasoline generator and 1,800-watt inverter provide redundant charging and AC power. A water maker keeps freshwater tanks topped up. Tankage runs 52 gallons of diesel, 100 gallons of fresh water, and three 10-pound propane cylinders. Navigation electronics include a Raymarine autopilot, depth/speed and wind instruments, Navionics charting, and three VHF radios. A Watchmate AIS transceiver adds safety redundancy.
The boat carries a 2014 12-foot Carib dinghy with a 25 hp fuel-injected Tohatsu outboard, two inflatable paddle boards, a folding kayak, and snorkel and fishing gear. A comprehensive inventory of spare parts, engine documentation, maintenance logs, and manuals accompanies the yacht. Major systems replaced or upgraded over the ownership tenure include engines and sail drives, sails, all hatches, running rigging, solar panels, water maker, windlass with wireless remote, through-hulls, bilge pumps, and rudder arms. Safety gear includes an EPIRB, life raft, and ground tackle comprising two anchors with chain and rode.
