The 1997 Post Sport Fisherman is a 50-foot convertible built on a fiberglass hull with a beam of 16.75 feet. Twin MAN diesel engines deliver 1,640 horsepower combined, pushing the boat to a cruising speed of 28 knots and a maximum speed of 32 knots. The design balances fishing capability with comfortable cruising performance.
The interior comprises three cabins and two heads, providing accommodation for extended trips. Recent updates include new quartz countertops in the galley and salon, new appliances (refrigerator with freezer, washer and dryer), recovered furnishings with Ultraleather upholstery, new bedding throughout, new carpeting, and updated climate control with new air conditioning units in the master and twin cabins. Interior lighting has been refreshed with LED installations, accent lighting, and new valances and blinds.
Mechanical work completed includes a full rebuild of the starboard engine in 2023, with new torsion couplers fitted to both engines. The port engine received a full rebuild prior to 2021. New batteries and charging solenoids were installed in April 2023, and the Fireboy fire suppression system was upgraded in July 2024. Bottom paint and propellers were serviced in February 2024, with a full service on both engines and generator completed in October 2025. Starboard-side batteries were replaced at the same time.
Exterior updates include a custom paint job, new electric windlass with new chain, new spreader lights, new cockpit lights, new underwater lights, and a new cockpit sunshade. The bridge carries new electronics and a new stereo system.
