The First 42s7 is a Bruce Farr-designed racing cruiser from Beneteau, combining performance pedigree with refined cruising accommodation. This 42-foot fiberglass sloop features a spacious cockpit suited to both competitive sailing and extended cruising, backed by a 45-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine.
The interior centers on a large saloon with wraparound seating and a full galley equipped with stove, oven, freezer, and refrigerator. Two cabins and two heads provide comfortable accommodation, with the owner's stateroom featuring a private head and pullman-style berth. A dedicated navigation station includes a flatscreen television, and air conditioning serves the interior. The galley offers ample counter space and storage.
The sail plan is substantial and modern: North 3Di Nordac mainsail and 140% genoa both from 2019, an asymmetric spinnaker with dousing sock, and a full suite of control systems including a Profurl genoa furler, Harken hydraulic backstay, and electric main halyard winch. A collapsible bimini and dodger with Isinglass and sun screens provide weather protection in the cockpit. Navigation and piloting are supported by Raymarine depth, wind, and speed transducers with repeaters at both helm and nav station, autopilot, and Apelco VHF radio.
Hull maintenance and systems are current: self-polishing bottom paint applied in 2024, new lifelines, and twin anchors with adequate chain and rode. Electric windlass and cockpit shower complete the deck gear. The boat has been stored indoors during winters and maintained as a single-owner yacht.
