This 1999 New Zealand Yachts TP-52 is a carbon composite racing yacht built to high specifications. The hull, deck, bulkheads, and mast are all composite construction, delivering the light weight and stiffness demanded by offshore racing. The boat carries a Yanmar 4JH2-CE diesel engine producing 62 horsepower, paired with an SD40 saildrive and Gori folding propeller.
The deck is outfitted with an extensive winch package and coffee grinder system for sail handling. Navigation is supported by a well-proportioned nav station equipped with Garmin GPS, B&G Zeus V7 multifunction display, Simrad autopilot, and VHF radio. A watermaker is installed for extended cruising capability. Two custom steering wheels provide options for different sailing conditions.
The boat comes with a complete set of racing sails and additional sails in inventory, ready for ORR, IRC, and other offshore racing events. The single head rounds out the essential facilities. Built for performance in grand prix racing, the TP-52 design is proven in competitive ocean racing environments.
