The 2003 Rampage 38 Express is a purpose-built sportfish designed to perform in challenging conditions. Her 39-foot fiberglass hull uses pre-impregnated end-grain balsa core with double bulkhead construction for durability and insulation, shaped with a 19-degree deep-V to plane efficiently. Two Yanmar diesel engines producing 760 horsepower deliver capable performance, supported by a 400-gallon fuel capacity for extended cruising range.
The boat excels at fishing with two large fish boxes, a custom 55-gallon baitwell, and a swing-out transom door with integrated lid. Two built-in tackle centers provide eight slide-out storage drawers with adjustable dividers, gasketed lockable covers, a molded fiberglass sink with spray nozzle, cutting board, and cooler box. The center console helm is hinged for easy access to wiring and houses full instrumentation with room for additional electronics, paired with high windshield featuring an electrically actuated center vent and spacious L-shaped seating.
Below deck, the interior features cherry wood cabinetry and gold hardware throughout. The layout includes a forward double V-berth with rod storage, a U-shaped dinette that converts to a second double berth, and a well-equipped galley with stainless steel sink, refrigerator, and microwave/convection oven. The full-sized head offers a tile floor, separate standup shower with circular door, and vanity with sink and storage.
Engine access is straightforward via a power-actuated hatch with double electric rams. The engine room is lined with full fiberglass and features diamond plate flooring.
