This 1999 Viking 55 Convertible is a fiberglass sportfish powered by twin MAN 1300 diesel engines installed in 2006/2007, currently running approximately 2,300 hours on the mains. The boat features VEEM five-blade interceptors, twin Onan 21kw generators, and a full suite of electronics including Garmin systems, autopilot, radar, and dual VHF radios updated in 2024. A water maker and ice maker support extended cruising, and the boat carries full teak covering boards and cockpit decking.
The accommodations include three cabins and two heads. The interior was substantially renovated in 2013/2014 with new flooring, headliner, upholstered seating, and trim throughout. Recent updates include new mattresses, a Fusion audio system with amplifiers and speakers, a new microwave/convection oven, and newly serviced Subzero refrigeration units. Climate control is maintained through professionally serviced air conditioning and a replacement starboard bunk AC unit installed in 2025.
The boat has undergone significant upgrades over recent years. A full hull paint was completed in 2013/2014, and subsequent maintenance has included a new windlass and anchor in 2021, an Iso Boost transformer in 2021, new bilge pumps, new vacuum generators, and a refinished front mask down to the fiberglass. The helm cover dates to 2022, and partial enclosure windows were added between 2022 and 2024. A 1,000-hour service and spring commissioning were completed in March 2026.
The cockpit is equipped with a refinished Release fighting chair, a teak table with pedestal mounts, a cockpit cover, and a shade with poles. The boat has been lightly cruised in the Chesapeake Bay and is not actively used for fishing.
