2000 Fountaine Pajot Belize 43

The 2000 Fountaine Pajot Belize 43 is a fiberglass sailing catamaran built on the proven design of the Belize line, recognized for solid construction and reliable performance. At 43 feet with a 23-foot beam, this model combines sailing capability with family-friendly cruising. The twin Yanmar 3YM30 diesel engines produce 60 hp each and drive SD25 sail drives positioned ahead of the rudders, enhancing maneuverability. The design features substantial sacrificial keels that deliver strong upwind performance and good bridge deck clearance to reduce slamming. The protected helm station offers all-around visibility and logical access to sail controls.

The interior is arranged across four double cabins, each with nearly queen-sized bunks and generous storage. Both hulls include full heads with sink, toilet, and shower. Headroom throughout accommodates occupants over six feet tall. The main salon features a curved settee with drop-leaf table and large curved windows at eye level, opening to an efficient galley with refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, and counter space. Interior finishes emphasize comfort with soft furnishings and rounded details.

Recent upgrades include a 2025 complete re-rigging by St. Augustine Marine Center with new US Spars mast, boom, standing and running rigging, and main sail by Calvert Sails. The engines, installed in 2015, have approximately 5,400 and 5,000 hours respectively with regular synthetic oil changes. The bottom receives annual professional maintenance with fresh paint. Solar power consists of four panels totaling 1,040 watts feeding 800 watts of battery storage through Victron controllers. A 2024 Freedom 2500 charger-inverter and recent electrical work support auxiliary systems.
