The 2000 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45.2 is a fiberglass cruising yacht built for extended voyaging and comfortable living at sea. At 45 feet with a 14.75-foot beam, the boat features a shallow draft bulb keel and a teak cockpit with seating and stern platform. Power comes from a Yanmar 4JH3 56-horsepower diesel engine with shaft drive to a three-blade fixed propeller.
Below deck, the owner's three-cabin layout provides eight berths including the saloon, along with two heads and extensive storage throughout. Teak joinery and a teak and holly cabin sole run through the interior. The saloon upholstery was replaced in 2023. Two stainless steel holding tanks provide 50 liters capacity each. Eberspacher heating was installed in 2021, and a Greatwater watermaker supports water independence.
The electrical system comprises five batteries, four 205-watt solar panels with Victron MPPT controller, and a Fischer Panda 4-kVA generator. Navigation equipment centers on Raymarine electronics including C90/C120 chartplotters, RL70 radar, ST60 Tridat, and ST6000 autopilot, supplemented by Garmin GPS linked to VHF. An electric Lofrans windlass handles a 25-kilogram Rocna anchor with 100 meters of 10-millimeter chain.
Recent upgrades include new Elvstrom main and genoa sails (both 2022), deck canvas replacement (2022), and a new Ribeye RIB tender with 6-horsepower Mercury outboard (2022). The rig, installed in 2005, is scheduled for replacement. Comprehensive safety equipment and cruising spares round out the inventory. A trailing boom lift and extensive galley and navigation systems complete the boat's outfitting for serious cruising.
