The Sydney 38OD is a 38-foot fiberglass sloop built in 2000, designed as a versatile offshore racer that performs equally well in club racing or weekend cruising. The hull measures 12.33 feet at the beam and is powered by a single 30-horsepower Yammer diesel engine. These boats are known for their speed and seaworthiness while remaining manageable to sail, with a design that balances competitive performance against the compromise of added weight from cruising amenities.

This example carries an excellent inventory of racing sails and has been actively campaigned in local competition.
