2001 Blanchard 69 Shrimper/Freezer

This 2001 Blanchard 69 is a steel-hulled shrimper built for commercial fishing operations. At 69 feet long with a 24-foot beam and 8-foot draft, the boat combines working capacity with seaworthy construction. Power comes from a Caterpillar 3406B diesel engine paired with a Twin Disc reduction gearbox; the engine was completely overhauled in April 2021 and has logged 5,000 hours. Two Kubota generators provide auxiliary power—one new with 10,000 hours and one rebuilt with 3,500 hours.

The freezer system centers on a 4-by-8 brine tank with six plates, supported by dual Frascold compressors (60 CFM and 40 CFM) fed by keel cooling. Ceiling plates line the ice hold. A 59¼-inch, four-blade Nibral propeller and rice nozzle complete the propulsion package. The boat was last hauled out in September 2022.

Deck equipment includes a new P&D winch with 27-inch drums installed in 2019, an electric try net winch, and a 64-mile Furuno radar. Navigation electronics encompass Garmin and Nobel Tech chart plotters and a global wind plot system.

Below deck, two bedrooms provide four bunks, with one full bathroom. Washer and dryer are installed. The boat is equipped and configured as an operational fishing vessel with commercial licensing credentials.
