2001 Dufour Gib'Sea 43

This 2001 Dufour Gib'Sea 43 is a fiberglass cruising sailboat designed by J&J Design with comfort and autonomy as core principles. At 43 feet long with a 14-foot beam, the hull shape delivers good upwind performance while remaining pleasant to helm. The moderate draft allows access to shallow anchorages, and the wide beam maximizes interior space and storage throughout. Power comes from a 50 hp Yanmar diesel engine.

The layout offers four cabins—three doubles and one with bunk beds—a configuration that is uncommon in this class. Two heads serve the accommodations. The cockpit features dual steering wheels that keep the passageway clear and includes a large folding table, designed with extended cruising in mind. The interior prioritizes livability and storage, making the boat well-suited to extended time aboard.

The boat operated as a charter vessel until 2008, after which the current owner used it for cruising in the Caribbean and on Lake Champlain. It has since spent additional seasons in both locations.
