2001 Island Packet 380

The 2001 Island Packet 380 is a proven offshore cruising yacht built with a full foil keel and cutter rig. The keel's integral construction provides strength and efficiency, while the cutter setup—with a self-tacking staysail and boom—suits both short-handed and offshore sailing. The moderate draft opens access to a wide range of cruising grounds. An AB Inflatables tender with Mercury outboard is included, unused.

Below deck, the layout feels remarkably open for a 38-foot boat. Hand-finished teak throughout and abundant natural light create a warm interior. The main salon has generous seating with a table that accommodates six to seven people and converts easily for dining or sleeping. The forward owner's cabin features a centerline island berth with excellent storage, lift-up access underneath, and hanging lockers. An aft cabin offers a Pullman berth and integrated sink. The head compartment is large, with a separate shower, folding enclosure, teak seat, and good ventilation. A well-appointed galley sits near the companionway with a Force 10 stove, double stainless sinks, keel-cooled refrigeration, and ample counter space.

The boat carries comprehensive electronics and navigation equipment: Raymarine autopilot and multifunction instrument, Raytheon instruments for depth, speed, and wind, dual VHF radios, and a Ritchie compass. Three roller-furling sails—mainsail, genoa, and staysail—are Dacron by Marine Sailing Partners and AirForce; an asymmetrical spinnaker is also aboard. Electrical systems include 12V and 110V with shore power, solar array with monitor, inverter/charger, and LED lighting throughout.

The deck features wide side decks and excellent handholds for offshore work. Equipment includes a 55-pound anchor with chain and rode, stainless dorade vents, full cockpit enclosure with dodger and bimini, cockpit cushions and shower, teak table, and tender davits. Tankage provides 85 gallons fuel, 170 gallons fresh water, and a 40-gallon holding tank.
