This 2002 Beneteau 473 is a 47-foot fiberglass cruising yacht with a proven design suited for extended passages in varied conditions. Powered by a Westerbeke 63-horsepower diesel engine and equipped with a Northern Lights 5-kilowatt generator, the boat cruises at seven knots and draws just five feet seven inches with its shoal-draft wing keel. A 60-foot mast and full suite of modern sails—including an Ullman mainsail from 2021 and genoa on furler—provide strong sailing capability. Navigation is handled by complete Garmin electronics including chartplotter, radar, and AIS, backed by a Standard Horizon VHF radio.

The two-cabin, two-head layout maximizes cruising comfort. The spacious main cabin centers on a large salon with U-shaped settee, convertible dining table, and overhead skylight. An L-shaped galley runs along one side with generous pantry storage, three-burner stove, separate refrigerator and freezer, and microwave. The forward cabin features a V-berth with an attached head and separate shower. Throughout the interior, LED lighting and 11 hatches plus seven ports provide excellent natural ventilation and light. Storage is abundant, including accessible lockers from both cockpit and interior.

Recent major systems upgrades enhance long-distance capability. A 660-watt solar array and 600-ampere-hour battery bank were installed in 2023, paired with a 2,000-watt inverter-charger. A 40-gallon-per-hour watermaker from 2022 and 200 gallons of freshwater storage support extended cruising. Dual climate control includes two air-conditioning units and a 27,000-BTU diesel heater. The 2024 Maxwell windlass with capstan, 2020 dinghy davits and Highfield tender with Yamaha outboard, and bow thruster all reduce operational demands. New canvas was installed in 2026, and the bottom was serviced the same year.

The boat's inventory of auxiliary equipment and spares supports independent cruising. A Magna Sine inverter-charger, backup bilge pump with alarm, and comprehensive Garmin suite provide redundancy and modern navigation. Anchor systems include a 65-pound Mantus primary with 170 feet of chain and secondary Spade anchor. Propane and hot water systems, upgraded countertops, and freshwater shower throughout reflect attention to livable cruising accommodations.
