The Najad 373 is a Swedish-built cruising yacht from 2002, renowned for robust ocean-going construction and refined Swedish craftsmanship. The hull is solid fiberglass with a balsa sandwich deck reinforced at stress points, while the interior is finished in varnished solid mahogany. The design centers on a central cabin layout with a flush foredeck, creating a secure and stable platform suited to extended offshore voyaging. A Yanmar 4JH2-E diesel engine of 55 horsepower drives the boat through a shaft transmission and fixed propeller.
Below deck, the boat accommodates two cabins: a master cabin aft with a squared double berth and settee, and a double berth forward. A single head with independent shower sits aft. Interior appointments include mahogany marine plywood flooring, solid cabinetry, a two-burner stovetop with oven, induction cooktop, electric refrigerator, and saltwater intake at the galley. Eberspächer heating and a dehumidifier manage climate control.
The sail plan comprises a full-batten mainsail of 29 square meters, a 140-percent genoa of 31 square meters, a trysail, and a gennaker, all supported by a Selden mast and boom with two sets of spreaders and Rutgerson hardware. A Furlex S300 genoa roller and Kemi Sails mainsail roller handle sail management. Deck equipment includes a teak surface, electric anchor windlass with 50 meters of 10-millimeter chain, stainless arch with solar panels and dinghy davits, bow thruster, and bimini awning with side panels.
Electronics feature Raymarine systems throughout: a 12-inch Axiom multifunction display, Ev-200 autopilot installed in 2024 (with a functioning earlier autopilot accessible via selector switch), Quantom 2 Doppler radar, i70s wind display, AIS, and an Icom VHF with DSC. Power generation combines 780 watts of bifacial solar panels with a Mastervolt inverter and three 100-ampere-hour lithium batteries installed in early 2025, supported by Victron charging systems. Motor and through-hull maintenance has been recent: the shaft assembly was overhauled in 2021, escape elbow and heat exchanger serviced in 2024, steering bearings replaced in 2024, and sea cocks replaced in 2023. Engine oil and filters were changed in June 2025. The rig was checked in 2023.
