2002 Northern Marine 80' Tri-Deck Expedition Series

This 80-foot Northern Marine Tri-Deck Expedition yacht was built in 2002 by the respected Pacific Northwest shipyard known for oceangoing trawler yachts constructed with advanced composite techniques. The boat is powered by a single Cummins QSK 19 diesel engine rated at 660 hp, paired with a ZFW350 gearbox and get-home drive system, delivering a cruising speed of 9 knots and maximum speed of 11 knots. Three generator sets (9kW, 21kW, and 27kW) provide electrical power, while onboard systems include a 1,200-gallon-per-day watermaker, active roll fin stabilizers with at-rest capability, proportional hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, and comprehensive navigation electronics with a 22-inch monitor.

The interior features four staterooms with three heads and is finished throughout with Sapele wood paneling and cabinetry, Brazilian cherry dining table, and Jatoba hardwood flooring. Climate control is provided by a chilled water air-conditioning and heating system, supplemented by a hydronic diesel furnace. The boat carries 5,776 gallons of fuel, 1,000 gallons of fresh water, and a 240-gallon holding tank.

The accommodation layout includes a boatdeck forward of the garage with ample space for a tender and storage. Flying bridge wing stations are positioned port and starboard, with an additional control station on the starboard aft. Deck equipment includes a 6,000-pound hydraulic windlass, electric warping winch, and 3,000-pound yacht crane. The boat measures 80 feet in length with a 21-foot 6-inch beam.
