2002 Punch 1500 LC

The Punch 1500 LC is a 2002 catamaran built around genuine cruising capability rather than appearance. At 49 feet with an 8.1-metre beam and 1.4-metre draft, she combines the stability of a catamaran hull with shallow-draft design that opens access to anchorages deeper-draft boats cannot reach. Twin Volvo D2 55-hp diesel engines with updated Saildrives and modern electronics provide reliable propulsion, while North Sails carbon sails from 2020—a 68-square-metre main and 80-square-metre furling gennaker—enable efficient sailing performance.

The interior layout prioritizes liveability. An aft owner's suite features a 160 by 200-centimetre berth, forward guest cabins, two electric heads with showers, and a convertible workshop space. The bright saloon and working cockpit complete a functional arrangement designed for extended cruising and accommodating guests without compromise on practicality.

Systems and equipment reflect serious cruising intent. A 60-litre-per-hour watermaker, 600-litre capacity for water and fuel, lithium battery bank with solar array, and a low-hour Fischer Panda generator support self-sufficient operation. The boat carries dyneema lifelines, current EPIRB, and fresh trampolines.

Comprehensive refits in 2018 and 2024 have maintained the boat to a high standard, with full service history documented. She is currently in good condition with a working cockpit and systems proven through extended use.
