The Punch 1500 LC is a 49-foot catamaran built in 2003 by Multicap Caraïbes to a Mortain & Mavrikios design. Constructed from epoxy-laminated marine plywood, the hull delivers solid structural integrity with controlled displacement and a sea-kindly motion well suited to offshore cruising. Twin Volvo D2-55 diesel engines rated at 110 horsepower each provide cruising speed of 12 knots and a maximum speed of 20 knots.
The interior layout spans both hulls with practical, spacious accommodation for extended cruising. The port hull contains two double cabins and a forward technical space with an Aquabase 60-litre-per-hour watermaker. The starboard hull features an owner's aft cabin with en suite head and a forward guest cabin. Three heads serve the yacht throughout. The saloon connects to wide side decks with a chart table to port and a well-equipped galley to starboard featuring Corian benchtops, double sinks, an ENO gas stove and oven, and twin 12-volt refrigeration units. The large protected cockpit provides wrap-around seating, freshwater deck showers, BBQ facilities, and extensive storage.
Sailing gear includes a Sparcraft aluminium mast with renewed standing rigging, Dyneema running rigging, and a complete sail wardrobe. Electrical systems comprise lithium batteries, solar panels, smart alternators, inverter, charger, and a low-hour Fischer Panda generator. The 2024 refit involved complete rudder system refurbishment, structural beam inspections and repairs, and Coppercoat antifouling application. Earlier upgrades in 2018 ensured all key systems and rigging remain current.
