The 2002 Sabre 362 is a 36-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat built for offshore passages and extended cruising. With a 12-foot beam and a design rooted in Sabre's transatlantic racing heritage, the boat balances performance and seaworthiness. The hull employs hand-laminated fiberglass with alternating mat and roving, balsa core reinforcement in high-stress areas, and vinylester resin with ISO NPG gelcoat for durability. A single 36-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine with 303 hours provides auxiliary power, with cruising speeds around 6 knots and a maximum speed near 8 knots.

Belowdecks, the spacious interior reflects thoughtful layout design. A generous forward stateroom features a full-width double berth with vanity sink. The main cabin offers a full-width table that folds against the bulkhead for open living space. An L-shaped galley provides substantial storage in drawers and lockers. The molded fiberglass head includes an island sink, separate shower stall, and wet locker for gear storage.

The boat is equipped with newer Raymarine offshore electronics and a custom stainless steel radar post. Deck features include boom furling, self-tailing genoa winches positioned near the helm, and an electric cabin-top winch for convenience. Cockpit cushions are closed-cell foam for durability. The head operates with an electric vac-u-flush system. Hardware throughout includes Edson, Hall Spars, Harken, Lewmar, and Westerbeke components, reflecting the quality standards typical of Sabre construction.
