The Catalina 34 MkII Samboa combines proven cruising capability with solid modern systems. Built in 2003, this 34-foot fiberglass sloop features a standard mast rig paired with a high-performance fin keel, balanced for responsive handling under sail. The 35 hp Universal diesel engine has only 236.5 original hours and recently received fresh oil, a new oil filter, and a new raw water pump in March 2025. The propulsion system delivers reliable thrust through a 3-blade brass propeller, complemented by a new Cutlass bearing installed in 2024.
Below deck, the yacht offers two cabins and one head with a modernized layout. The salon features white upholstery throughout, while both the V-berth and aft cabin contain sleeping cushions. Galley amenities include a Hillerange stainless steel two-burner propane stove with oven and a Nova Kool refrigeration unit with Danfoss compressor. A newly installed Jabsco manual toilet and updated hoses complete the head in 2025. Entertainment is handled by a Fusion MS-RA70 Bluetooth stereo with cabin speakers and two Bose speakers in the cockpit.
The sailing rig consists of a fully battened mainsail and 135% Genoa headsail managed by a Schaeffer 2100 furling system. Lewmar 48 self-tailing winches on the cockpit combing and Lewmar 30 self-tailing winches on the cabin top provide mechanical advantage, while three rope clutches per side lead all control lines to the cockpit. Electrical systems include two West Marine 4-D house batteries installed January 2024, a dedicated start battery, a Heart Interface Freedom 20 inverter with 100-amp charger, and a Link 2000 remote panel for power management.
Exterior maintenance included professional waxing and polishing with fresh bottom paint applied in April 2024.
