This 2005 Hunter 36 is a fiberglass sloop built for cruising comfort and equipped with substantial mechanical and safety upgrades. The boat runs a single 30-horsepower Yammer diesel engine with approximately 1,200 hours and cruises at 7 knots. The 34.5-foot hull carries a 12-foot beam and has been maintained with detailed logged records over the past eight years, including routine dehumidification set to 50% relative humidity when docked.

The interior and systems reflect years of thoughtful investment. Lithium iron phosphate house and engine batteries installed in 2017 provide eight times the capacity of the original bank. The galley includes a microwave, refrigerator, two-burner propane stove with oven, and electric fresh water toilet. Navigation electronics encompass an AIS transponder, Raymarine GPS chartplotter with WiFi remote viewing capability, autopilot, and full suite of gauges for wind, depth, water temperature, and speed. A 2,000-watt AC inverter and onboard battery charger support the electrical system.

Mechanical updates include a replacement propeller and strut from 2021, a new dripless shaft seal from 2021, and a new stainless steel windlass bearing. The boat carries wireless remote controls for the helm, windlass, and stereo. Sails include a main and jib replaced in 2022, with an additional spinnaker and spare set aboard. A 10-foot inflatable dinghy with a 2-horsepower electric motor, pump, and cover is included.

Safety equipment encompasses six adult and two child Type 1 personal flotation devices, four Type 4 throwables, a 30-inch commercial ring buoy, an EPIRB, automatic fire extinguisher, high-volume bilge pump rated at one gallon per second, and carbon monoxide detectors in each cabin.
