2003 Meridian 490 Pilothouse

The 2003 Meridian 490 Pilothouse is a 49-foot fiberglass pilothouse yacht powered by twin Cummins 6BTA5.9-M3 diesel engines rated at 370 horsepower each. The engines show 1,730 hours of use. An Onan 9 kW diesel generator with 562 hours supports onboard systems. The boat cruises at 16 knots and reaches a maximum speed of 22 knots, with a Sidepower bow thruster fitted for maneuvering in confined spaces.

The yacht features three staterooms and two heads. The master stateroom holds an island queen berth with an en-suite head including tub and shower. Forward, a VIP stateroom offers a double berth, while a guest stateroom contains convertible twin bunks. The full-beam salon includes an L-shaped sleeper sofa and barrel chair with large windows. The U-shaped galley is equipped with solid-surface counters, a three-burner electric cooktop, oven, microwave, and refrigerator-freezer.

Navigation equipment includes a Raymarine Axiom 9 display in the pilothouse, Garmin 2006C GPSmap plotters in both pilothouse and flybridge, Raymarine RL80C Pathfinder Radar, Raymarine DS600X Fishfinder, and a Lowrance HDS5 pilothouse display. An aft-facing camera display is installed. VHF radios from Raymarine and Standard Horizon are aboard, with controls for the bow thruster, trim tab, windlass, and spotlight accessible from both helms.

Heating is provided by an Espar diesel hydronic furnace with engine heat backup. A 20-gallon Seaward hot water heater supplies hot water. The flybridge features a captain's chair, L-settee, lounge, and refrigerator. Additional equipment includes an integrated sound system, swim platform with ladder, davit system, and Trace Inverter. Fuel capacity is 444 gallons, fresh water 200 gallons, and holding tank 48 gallons.
