The 2004 Meridian 490 Pilothouse is a 49-foot pilothouse cruiser built on a solid fiberglass hull and powered by twin Cummins Diesel 6BT 5.9 engines delivering 660 horsepower. The boat cruises at 20 knots and is equipped with SidePower bow and stern thrusters for precision maneuvering. A fully enclosed flybridge with hard top and canvas sides provides all-weather operating space, while an Espar central diesel heating system ensures comfort in cooler conditions.
The interior features three staterooms and two heads arranged on an open, level-in layout with few steps, making movement throughout the boat straightforward. An Onan 9kw generator powers the systems, supported by a Victron Energy 3000-watt inverter. Navigation and communication equipment includes a Simrad EV035 12-inch GPS plotter, RayMarine autopilot and 48-mile radar, AIS with transmit and receive capability, and an ICOM VHF radio.
A US Watermaker provides fresh water production. House batteries were replaced in 2022 and start batteries in 2020. The boat is also equipped with a center console tender carrying a 25-horsepower outboard engine.
