2004 Meridian 490 Pilothouse

The 2004 Meridian 490 Pilothouse is a pilothouse cruiser built on a proven design, measuring 49 feet with a 15-foot beam. Powered by twin Cummins 6BTA5.9-M3 diesel engines rated at 330 horsepower each, the boat pairs these with ZF Marine ZF80-1A transmissions and an Onan 9kW genset for reliable extended cruising. The layout features two staterooms with cherry cabinetry, a full-beam salon with galley forward, a raised pilothouse with flying bridge access, and two full heads.

The boat is equipped for modern cruising and navigation. Electrical systems include a Xantrex Freedom XC Pro Marine 3kW inverter, ProMariner battery chargers (60-amp and 20-amp 12V units), and a BEP Marine tank monitor. Navigation and entertainment are handled by Garmin electronics, Starlink internet, a KVH TracVision M3 satellite TV system, and a Fusion Apollo MS-RA670 marine stereo. Climate control comes from a Webasto DBW2010 forced air diesel heating system and King electric heaters.

Deck and docking equipment includes a Sidepower SP95TI 8-horsepower electric bow thruster, Muir HR1100 electric windlass, and a Delta polished stainless steel anchor. A flying bridge hardtop provides weather protection topside. A fuel crossover was added in 2023, and spare ZF 24R22 propellers are on hand. A boatdeck davit supports an Apex A-12 Eurosport center console tender with a Tohatsu 30-horsepower outboard. Interior features include a Splendide washer-dryer combo and a Cruise RO watermaker.
