The 2003 Peregrine 62 Custom is a custom-built aluminum explorer yacht designed and constructed to commercial-grade standards for operation in Alaska's most demanding waters. Built with 5/16-inch aluminum plating—thicker than standard commercial hulls—the yacht features a double-hulled structure with nine watertight compartments extending from bow through engine room. Her sharp bow cuts efficiently through heavy seas while the 19-foot beam provides exceptional stability. Two Lugger diesel engines, each producing 700 horsepower, deliver a cruising speed of 9.5 knots at 1,300 RPM, consuming approximately 16 gallons per hour total. With 2,000 gallons of fuel capacity and a 1,200-gallon-per-day water maker, the yacht supports extended expeditions lasting weeks or months without resupply.
The interior accommodates six guests alongside a captain and two to three crew members across five staterooms. The master features a queen berth with ensuite bath and Jacuzzi tub, while the VIP stateroom includes a queen bed and ensuite. A guest bunk room holds twin berths, and dedicated crew quarters complete the layout. The main salon showcases teak finishing, leather furnishings, and entertainment systems. The galley is fully equipped with refrigerator-freezer, dual burner stove with oven, microwave, dishwasher, trash compactor, and washer-dryer.
The aft deck spans over 320 square feet and functions as a practical working space, featuring a fish-cleaning station, insulated fish hold, and rod holders. Two Northern Lights 25-kilowatt diesel generators from 2003 and 2008 provide electrical power. The yacht carries commercial-grade bow thruster, hydraulic winches, anchor system, liferafts, EPIRB, and full safety equipment. The port engine shows 4,120 hours and the starboard 4,266 hours on their respective Tachometers.
