2004 Custom Runabout
About This Yacht
This 22-foot wooden runabout was custom-built in Maine between 2002 and 2004 as a replica of the classic 1953 Zimmer design. The hull combines traditional oak framing with mahogany planking and a fiberglass shell, marrying period aesthetics with modern durability. Power comes from a 330-horsepower Crusader Captain's Choice 5.7-liter gasoline engine with just 51 hours of running time.
The boat reaches speeds of 48 to 50 mph. The build is documented extensively, with original blueprints, construction records, and receipts on file, offering clear visibility into the boat's construction and materials throughout.
