This 55-foot-by-17-foot steel houseboat was built in 2004 and comprehensively modernized in 2026. Powered by twin Mercury 4-stroke engines of 230 hp each, it achieves a cruising speed of 6 knots and a maximum speed of 9 knots, with a 300-mile fuel range. The wide 17-foot beam sits on heavy-duty 4-foot-by-4-foot steel pontoons, providing exceptional stability. The pontoons were professionally repainted with Amercoat coating in 2026.
The layout features a reverse floor plan with primary living areas and outdoor spaces positioned aft for intimate water views and connection to the environment. The open-concept interior benefits from expansive glazing and natural light throughout. All walls, ceilings, and floors meet modern residential insulation standards, paired with high-performance doors, windows, and an Energy Star-rated solar-reflective exterior coating for year-round comfort. A large-capacity evaporative cooler cools the cabin efficiently.
A complete 2026 electrical and fuel system refit brought the boat to current ABYC standards. The solar electric system provides 100 percent of onboard power needs independently. Water is drawn directly from lakes and filtered throughout the boat, eliminating the need for fresh water holding tanks. Oversized black and grey water tanks support extended stays. An onboard air compressor connected to the lake water input enables quick winterization of all pipes and fixtures in ten minutes.
Original CAD drawings, detailed maintenance records, and extensive technical documentation accompany the boat. Additional spares inventory includes mooring lines and two fully-serviced extra gear cases. All personal items have been removed, and interior surfaces have been repaired and repainted.
