The 2014 Sunstar 55 is a 55-foot aluminum houseboat powered by a single 200-horsepower Volvo gasoline engine, capable of cruising at 7 knots with a top speed of 9 knots. Built for comfortable extended stays on the water, this boat combines practical liveaboard accommodations with upscale interior finishes.
Three private staterooms and two full bathrooms provide sleeping quarters for up to eight guests. The main salon features a helm station, living area with flat-screen television, and dining table with bench seating. The galley is appointed with granite countertops and ceramic tile flooring. Additional living space includes a full-size futon in the main salon, and the interior is finished with crown molding, raised panel colonial doors, rich maple woodwork, and indirect lighting throughout. Central heat and air conditioning regulate climate year-round.
The upper decks offer extensive outdoor living. A spiral staircase accesses the flybridge, which includes a second helm station and canopy shade, along with sunbathing loungers on the top deck. The front deck provides al fresco dining with seating for four and is equipped with a ceiling fan, propane gas grill, and ice chest. The rear deck offers storage for water toys.
