2004 Moody 56

The Moody 56 is a renowned blue-water cruising yacht built on a fiberglass hull, equally suited to Mediterranean anchorages and extended ocean passages. Powered by a single 134-horsepower Yammer diesel engine, this 55-foot yacht combines seaworthiness with comprehensive equipment for self-sufficient cruising.

Recent improvements include renewed standing rigging and replacement mast wiring in 2023, new in-mast furling gear installed in 2022, and all seacocks replaced in 2024. The cockpit teak was replaced in 2024. A Spectra watermaker underwent full overhaul in 2025, and the sail inventory was renewed between 2023 and 2024. The boat is equipped with lithium battery systems, a generator, air-conditioning, bow thruster, electric winches, electric davits, and Raymarine electronics. Systems maintenance has been ongoing and continuous throughout the boat's ownership.
