2004 SAFE Boats Defender 25

The 2004 SAFE Boats Defender 25 is a full-cabin aluminum explorer designed for serious work in challenging conditions. Built to government specifications, it has a rated capability for 10-foot seas and an unsinkable hull design. The boat measures 25 feet in length with an 8-foot beam and is powered by twin Yamaha engines producing 450 horsepower combined, delivering a cruising speed of 25 knots and a maximum speed of 40 knots. The 110-gallon fuel tank supports extended operations.

The cabin is fully enclosed and weather-tight, providing protection during extended missions. The boat has been used part-time for towing and salvage work over the past four years and carries approximately 1,800 hours on the engines, which run without issue.

Navigation and communication systems include a Garmin 7613XSV chartplotter with radar and side-scan sonar, two fixed marine VHF radios, and a portable VHF radio. Additional equipment features a BoatEye 360 night vision camera with 10-inch monitor, hailer system with front and rear speakers and listening mode, three walkie-talkies with charging base, and 360-degree yellow and red towing lights. Onboard power comes from a 4,500-watt generator on the aft deck, shore power connection, and three-bank charger with galvanic isolator. A 25-foot jumper cable set is included.

The sale includes a one-year-old EZ Loader triple-axle trailer with disc surge brakes and oil bath hubs, a second set of propellers, two new lower units in original boxes, and a Cornwell roll cart stocked with Yamaha replacement parts including water pump impellers, prop hubs, seals, and gaskets.
